Compound Machine
This is our compound machine. It is composed of 2 wheel and axles, a sprocket, gear train and an inclined plane.
Efficiency
We used a force gauge to figure out the amount of force required to lift our object.
It was 6.9 N. We then found The IMA of our system by taking the distance we pulled the string on the force gauge which was 30.5 cm and the distance we pulled the weight whcih was 13.5 cm. The IMA came out to be 2.26.
We then found the AMA by taking the force required to pull it, which was 6.9 N, then the force of the weight which was 1.96 N. The AMA was 0.28.
The efficiency of it was 12% which means that our machine turned out to geenrate speed and not torque.
